Eugene Kaspersky is a world-renowned cybersecurity expert and successful entrepreneur. Since then he has headed the Company’s antivirus research, and in 2007 he was named CEO. In 1997, they decided to establish an independent company, becoming the founders of Kaspersky. In 1991, Eugene joined the KAMI Information Technologies Center, where he and a group of colleagues developed the AVP antivirus project, which became the prototype for Kaspersky Anti-Virus. He started collecting malicious programs, now one of the most complete antivirus databases in the world. His knowledge of cryptography helped him analyse it, understand its behaviour and develop a removal tool.
